Sautéed Greens with Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

Mixed onions 2 medium (sliced)
Extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons
Mixed leafy greens 2.5 pounds (chopped)
Garlic 2 cloves (minced)
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Sea salt and black pepper To taste
Walnuts 2 tablespoons (chopped)

Preparation

  1. Sauté onions in olive oil over medium heat until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add garlic, cook for 1 minute.
  3. Incorporate greens gradually, stirring to coat. Cover and cook 4-5 minutes until wilted.
  4. Season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Top with walnuts before serving.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature.
